How do I place a reservation?
Check our calendar to see if the dates you want are available. If your desired dates are available, e-mail or call us with those dates, house(s) and number of people in your party. We will respond with a quote against which a deposit can be placed. Please note that we no longer take initial deposits over the phone. Deposits are accepted either through our online quote/invoice or via a mailed check. We accept Amex, Visa, MC, Discover and checks (in US funds drawn on a US bank). Please note that all deposits are non-refundable but can be applied towards a different stay with us should your plans change up to 7 days in advance of your arrival date.
Can I hold dates with a credit card?
Unfortuantely this is not possible. Dates can only be reserved with a non-refundable deposit.
What is your availability?
We are open and accepting reservations for stays year round. You can view our calendar in the upper right corner of this site. There is a 2-night minimum stay for all reservations Oct 1 - Apr 30 and a 3-night minimum for all reservations May 1 - Sep 30. Additionally, we are no longer permitting same day turnaround bookings. This is when incoming guests arrive on the same day as the departing guests. (This is also how we are able to allow guests to arrive at anytime on their check-in date. Check-out is at 11 am.)
How do I change my reservation?
There is no fee for changing your reseravtion. Contact us (e-mail or phone) at least 7 days prior to your arrival date.
How do we check in?
Check-in instructions are provided within 7 days of arrival and after the balance has been paid in full. For security reasons, we will only provide this information to the person listed on the reservation. You are welcome to share this with other members of your party but be aware that we will not provide it should they contact us. If you wish to include others in that notification, you will need to provide their contact information (name, e-mail and phone).
What time can I arrive?
Arrival/check-in is anytime on the first day of your reservation.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is 11 am. Please note that guests checking out after 11 am will incur a late charge equivalent to half the daily rate of the accommodation. We do offer late check-out options but these must be purchased in advance of your arrival.
Can we have additional guests in the houses while we are there?
In short, yes but with restrictions. Any type of gathering is limited to 15 people for House 1, 12 for House 2 or 30 for both houses including those staying in the house(s). Because our houses are historic and over 100 years old, we have to place limitations on their use. For gatherings that exceed the occupancy of the houses (10 for House 1, 8 for House 2 or 18 for both) a portable toilet must be rented. We can arrnage for that.
Are there other fees?
Yes, we have fees assocaited with your stay which include cleaning, pet and portable toilet rental. When applicable, they are always included on your reservation invoice. There are also fees that can be levied after your stay associated with cleaning and damage (which are easily preventable).
